Drew Galligan, MD, MS is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Galligan earned his medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine. He completed his Pediatric residency (including a chief residency year) and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the University of Florida.
Following completion of fellowship, Dr. Galligan joined the faculty at the University of South Florida in 2015. Dr. Galligan is dedicated to providing compassionate, high quality, innovative care for infants, children, adolescents and young adults with cancer and other blood-related disorders. He has a particular interest in cancer survivorship, long-term health outcomes, and adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer.
Dr. Galligan currently serves as the co-medical director for Inpatient Pediatrics at Tampa General Hospital. Dr. Galligan has many educational responsibilities at USF, including working with medical students and residents in the hospital/clinic. Serving as domain lead for the Values-Based Patient-Centered Care area for the SELECT (Scholarly Excellence, Leadership Experiences, Collaborative Training) medical students during years one and two, serving as a coach for a cohort of medical students in the SELECT program, and being co-course director for Doctoring 3 and Doctoring 4.
