This is Session 1 of a 4 Part Emotional Intelligence Series.
Emotional intelligence is the foundation of our personal and interpersonal behavior. Emotional and social competencies are the essence of what makes us effective- both personally and professionally, and the evidence shows that these are the factors that lead to success.
Emotional intelligence is the ability to:
- Understand what is happening within us- how we feel, what motivates us, and why we are focused on the things that matter to us;
- Manage our behavior to respond in a manner that is most effective and productive, instead of react without proper thought and intention;
- Recognize what others may be feeling and what could be driving their behavior;
- Manage our relationships based on our understanding of ourselves and others, leading to trusting, more productive relationships both personally and professionally.
This is Session 2 of a 4 Part Emotional Intelligence Series.
